What size jewelry would I get for my cartilage piercing?

I have a standard size stud in, but I want to change it to a hoop. I think it would be an 18 gauge, but what length? Here’s an example of the jewelry i’m talking about.

If you got it with a gun, it’s 20g.

If you got it with a needle, you need to ask your piercer – it varies alot.
