HELP! Proper way to care for an ear cartilage piercing!?!?

Hey guys, I have my ear cartilage pierced on Saturday (Monday to now) and I wondered just how to properly care for it. I went to a piercing shop and they told me I should use the gel after the tender care, make sure you wash it twice a day and wash in salt water (the mixture normal selling water table). I just want to clarify that this is the correct method aftercare as I had my eyebrow pierced before and follow these instructions and that was infected and had to remove it. I read somewhere online that the use of table salt is very bad for the holes cartilage of the ear. So I'm not sure how. Apparently redness and mild pain should stop after 48 hours, but my 48 hours on and it hurts ear yet. So yes, only scaling all the people out there who have had this done to let me know what worked for you. Thanks boys. Cheers

Be sure to keep it clean, but not play with it too. The cartilage has little time to heal. Make sure you have a good plowing, not a cheap one because otherwise the metal reacts with the skin and causes air plowed their ear to turn a funny color.
