legal age to get rook piercing?

i live in MA and im turning 15 in less than 10 days, and i wanna get my rook pierced, but all the professional piercing places near me say that you have to be 16 w/ parental consent to get anything besides earlobes done….i read in minnesota the legal age is 15, is it really true that you have to be 16, or should i call and try to see if they will do it??

btw.. my mom agreed that i could have it done, and she said she would sign the forms and everything and go with me…

best you can do is call and ask. Most places have a 16 year rule though. Good luck! I hear the rook is quite painful.
