How I can convince my parents that a cartilage piercing is not just the trash?

well, so I'm turning 15 soon and all I ask this is for my parents to let me style of a cartilage piercing propeller on the top of the ear. Nothing crazy like an industrial or something like this. I'm not the type to go for piercings or dye my hair or get tattoos at all. I am responsible, have good grades, and I do sport almost year round. I think a piercing in the cartilage of the ear would be nice, but my mother says it is of poor quality and not love the message it sends. She had two holes as a child and I explained that cartilage piercing is exactly that, but has yet to convince. Any help? Poor quality images not only drilling cartilage would be nice, or stories of people who are perfectly normal to them would be great. thank you very much!

I do not think it is of poor quality and I am a 67 year old, a retired professor of British secondary school – requirements to be close and tense! All My son once got a pierced eyebrow. My husband did a loud noise and disturbing everyone. I said nothing. Eyebrow ring disappeared soon after a year …….. My daughter once dyed her hair red. The same story, except the noise was worse. I knew it was temporary, so he said nothing. The two were teenagers, my 16, my daughter 14 years old when he made those choices. The two have become in large adults. When I was a teacher, things like that never bothered me because I knew it was safe to experiment with styles.
