Vertical Hood Piercing??

Hi,
I am suppose to be going with my friends at the end of April to get a VCH piercing. My problem is that my body seems to have a hard time healing piercings. I ALWAYS get red bumps no matter how well I take care of it. Im just nervous because that is not an area I want to get messed up or grow scar tissue. I heard the piercing has a really low risk of becoming infected though. I’d appreciate any input.

Thanks!

Firstly, to the person above, you will not lose sensation from a VCH, the piercing is through the skin covering the clitoris, not through it!

VCH are generally very quick and easy to heal. The skin in very thin and the area is not exposed to as many germs and day to day hardships that most other piercings are. Mine felt totally healed within a few days. Make sure you are pierced with good quality metal, that will make a difference to the healing. Sea salt soaks twice a day are all that is needed, but sea salt can irritate some people so you may want to use saline instead. It’s such a great piercing to have, I pity any lady who doesn’t have the guts to try it!
