I have a question about my eyebrow piercing that I just got…?
Hi, I just got my eyebrow pierced a week ago, and it was never really too sore to begin with, but not it seems to be getting more healed, except it’s getting a little crusty, and I’m following the care instructions given my my piercer, which is the best, cleanest place in North Florida, and but the ball on the end of my bar seems to be almost going to my skin, and making the hole a little bigger. Its not too red, just a little, not swolen, but just flakey and “healing” looking. Is this normal?
It may be rejecting, which is different than infected. Surface-to-surface piercings like eyebrows and belly buttons have a tendency to confuse the body’s immune system, and sometimes it just tries to push the piercing out.
Go let your piercer take a look at it; they’ll give you the best advice as to whether or not you’re rejecting and what to do.
I’m sure that you are not putting alcohol on it like someone suggested if you are going to a good piercer, because that’s the worst thing ever.
