How long did you soak your belly piercing with salt water?

I had my belly button re-pierced in October. The guy told me to soak it with salt water every night for about 10 minutes. I only did it for like the first 2 weeks. It still is not healed! Should I have kept up with the soaks longer?

You should keep soaking it until the piercing is fully healed so it doesn’t get infected during. 5 – 10 minutes is a good amount of time for soaking.
