piercing the cartilage healing or just an infection?
I have my cartilage pierced a little over two months. He feel good and try to clean up and move every time I'm in the shower. It does not hurt or feel bad. It is, however, a bit swollen, especially in the back of the hole and my mother helped clean today and said there was some pus from the hole. Again, I do not feel no pain or pain (except when they insisted he was with Q-Tip of course, only a little pain) and swelling is largely around the drilling area on the top of the ear. Is it just healing, or it could have an infection? Is it true that not supposed to use hydrogen peroxide or Bacitracin / Neosporin on that? What is good to use for cleaning, and there type of antibiotic ointments or treatments used to protect against infection? Thanks
well, no pain, I think it's just healing drilling I have mine pierced in October and is still not clear …. Show in the next few days and if swelling increases, it becomes red or starts to hurt Call a doctor ….. if you are not supposed to use hydrogen peroxide because it kills the good cells in the wound trying to heal and IDK about bacitracin, but just keep cleaning twice daily with mild soap and warm water …. Cartilage is a connective tissue and blood flow has little that is why it takes so long to heal
