i’ve had my tragus pierced for 5 months but i had to take it out because of an infection.?

i’m going to get a gold stud next week. will my hole stay open?

It might not stay open, but if your infection was caused because of the stainless steel bar, hoop, whatever you used, you might want to check out titanium instead of gold. My ears are super sensitive and when I got my tragus pierced it blew up because they used stainless steel. I went and had it changed to gold, and that still didn’t help, so the guy who pierced it told me to try titanium. It is more expensive but hey it worked! I thought that gold was the best metal to use, but I was wrong!
